Kit advice
Sports bras
Probably the most important kit for many women — support matched to your activity and a proper fit.
Match the support to the activity
Brands usually describe support as low, medium or high. Low support may be fine for yoga and walking; running, skipping and HIIT usually call for high support.
Fit matters most
A good sports bra should feel snug without digging in. The band should sit level and stay put when you raise your arms. Try jogging on the spot when you try it on.
After pregnancy
The NHS advises not to rely on your pre-pregnancy sports bra after having a baby — your back and cup size are likely to have changed — so get measured for a new one.
The NHS Couch to 5K advice also suggests a supportive bra if you need one for running.
